The Butter Story
Writing “About Us” feels a lot like answering the question: Why do we exist?
And as the people in the kitchen of Butter on Milk, that was our first existential crisis.
In a world already saturated with big, loud, purposeful brands, why did we feel the need to join the table?
After a lot of tea and coffee, we realised there’s no universal answer. But the one that came closest, the quiet little spark that keeps our butter kitchen going, is this:
The not-so-flashy moments. The private ones. The ones that don’t beg for attention, but they are the "quirks" that make us unique.
Butter on Milk is a love letter to those little things.
The pajamas you never want to take off. The mug you always reach for. The scrunchies that vanish and reappear like house spirits. The notebook too pretty to write in and became house decor.
It’s about the behind-the-scenes of a world that never seems to stop.
We’re here to curate the space for pauses.
To give softness, beauty, and attention to the in-between moments.
Not for show. Not for anyone else.
Just for ourselves.
